Ways to find Apprentice jobs
There are a number of different ways to find Apprenticeship jobs. If you would like additional support in finding a job you can speak to your careers advisor, Connexions PA or a local college or training provider.
1. Search for Vacancies online via The National Apprenticeship Service
If you feel you are now ready to consider doing an Apprenticeship you can apply for Apprenticeship vacancies online using a new system that lets you search for, view and then apply for Apprenticeships. 2. Contact a Local Training Provider
You can find out more about Apprenticeship training providers at the KATO website by contacting local training providers who can find out more about what opportunities are available to you.
3. Search for Vacancies online via Connexions
Connexions now have there own live jobs website. Click here to search for Vacancies through Connexions.
4. Visit your local Connexions Access Point and speak to a PA
If you are feeling a little confused or are unsure about what sort of Apprenticeship would be suitable for you then visit a local CAP and speak to someone face to face.
5. Contact Local Employers
One great way to find an Apprenticeship is to speak to local employers and ask if they would consider taking you on as an Apprentice. Make sure you have a great CV and take a day or two to visit local businesses, introducing yourself and give them your CV. Taking the time to do this shows you are enthusiastic and committed and can really impress employers.
6. Respond to job adverts in the local paper
It is always worth taking a regular look at your local paper and seeing if any employers are advertising for Apprentices or trainee positions.
7. Search online at your local Council
The public sector is really committed to employing Apprentices. Search for your local County borough or district council online and search their current vacancies to see if they are recruiting for an Apprentice.
